Join us for the third in our series of quarterly BRN Round Table Talks in 2021!

Current students, BRN graduates, BRNN members, and anyone interested in the Blue Ridge Naturalist Certificate of Merit Program are encouraged to attend these free quarterly conversations hosted by BRN faculty. We hope you’ll sign on for this chance to check in with each other, learn about trails yet to be blazed, and get program updates and a preview on upcoming courses!

*Zoom link will be sent one day prior to the class. This is a live, interactive class, though recordings of class sessions can be made available to registered participants by request if they are not able to attend at the scheduled time. (Providing we remember to hit Record.)

For information on the Blue Ridge Naturalist Program here on the Arboretum website:

Start a quest to deepen your knowledge of one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. Join a community of adult learners who are dedicated to understanding the natural sciences, ecology and culture of the Southern Appalachian region through the Blue Ridge Naturalist (BRN) Certificate of Merit program. Learn about this unique program in a round table discussion with Arboretum staff, faculty and current certificate students. Core courses include ecology, botany, geology and plant identification with electives offered on animals, lichens, insects and more. All students complete a final project prior to graduation. Projects often take the form of service learning, empowering students to tackle needs in their own communities. Find out more about how the Arboretum can help you understand your place in the natural world and what you can do to preserve, protect and care for our common home.
