Spend the morning delving into the enchanting and essential world of lichens. In this online workshop covering lichen ecology, natural history and how lichens are often used as biological indicators, participants will learn ways to identify lichens common to the Southern Appalachians. Particular attention is paid to understanding the characteristics of different growth forms and recognizing different reproductive structures and conspicuous features that are helpful in identifying liches to genus and species.

*Instructions for joining via Zoom will be sent by email the day prior. Please add adulteducation@ncarboretum.org to your contacts so our emails do not end up in your spam folder.
