In this online workshop covering lichen ecology, natural history and how lichens are often used as biological indicators, participants will learn ways to identify lichens common to the Southern Appalachians. Particular attention is paid to understanding the characteristics of different growth forms and recognizing different reproductive structures and conspicuous features that are helpful in identifying liches to genus and species.
