Spring Tree Identification is recommended for this class. The class was delivered live online Wednesday, April 21. You may still register to receive the link to the video.

When we think of flowers in the spring, our attention often is turned towards the numerous showy flowers found on herbaceous plants on the forest floor. If we look upwards, however, we learn to notice the many species of mountain trees that also begin blooming at this time of the year as well. Whether you're a budding dendrologist or an experienced naturalist, you'll enjoy this immersive field-based experience identifying trees and investigating tree structures and pollination strategies with Naturalist Carlton Burke.

*Participants must adhere to all safety guidelines in the reminder email sent prior to class. Please add adulteducation@ncarboretum.org to your contacts to ensure our emails do not end up in your spam folder. Masks should be worn out of consideration for all class participants. We ask that participants try to keep a distance of at least 6' between others as much as possible.

**During registration participants will be asked to identify if they are seeking certificate credit through Arboretum certificate of merit programs or NC Environmental Education. Responses will prompt further communication regarding requirements and reporting for credit. Registering for both the On Demand online lecture and the onsite field-based experience can count for BRN and/or NCEE Criteria II credit.
