Deep Relaxation: Restorative Yoga Nidra B

Yoga Nidra is a guided lying-down meditation that induces full-body relaxation and strong states of awareness.  Each session will begin with very gentle tension-relieving stretches for neck, shoulders and low back, followed by reclining “restorative” poses with soothing live music. The session culminates in a 45-minute Yoga Nidra meditation designed to induce full body relaxation. Sessions are suitable for all levels but require the ability to get on and off the floor unassisted. Mats and other props will be supplied or you may bring your own.

Jenne Sluder is a qualified mental health professional certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists as a trauma-sensitive therapeutic yoga instructor. She holds a master’s in transpersonal psychology: ecopsychology from Naropa University and specializes in mind-body approaches to improving mental and physical health. An Asheville native, Jenne works with individuals and with groups engaging somatic (body-based), contemplative (mindfulness-based), ecological (nature-based), and compassion-based practices.
