Limit: 10 students
Accept an invitation to receive the forests' healing gifts and insights on this restorative walk, which is designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Along the way we will stop and share what we notice about our experience and conclude with a Yerba Mate tea ceremony. Boosted immune system, reduced blood pressure, reduced stress, depression and anxiety are a few possible benefits associated with nature-based experiences. For some this will be a walk in the park; for others it will be somewhat of a forest initiation. It all depends on your own personal edges. The forest knows best what unique experience each one of us needs most.
Yanina Salerno is a lover of the land who believes many have forgotten our innate connection and relationship with the forest. She is a forest therapy guide, a certified Reiki healer, and an apprentice in the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition Cross-Cultural Shamanic Arts. She holds a certificate in Forest Management Technology-Natural Resource Specialist and is currently working towards certification in North Carolina Environmental Education.
