Trees take on a whole new dimension in winter. Learn to identify winter trees based on silhouette, bark, twigs and other characteristics. We will start with a powerpoint that covers major concepts and terms, and review some of the best books for tackling this subject matter. We will finish the class with a sojourn outside of variable length depending on the weather.  Students should wear weather-appropriate clothing for the outdoors, and bring binoculars and/or a hand lens if available.
