Journaling brings the wandering mind into intention and invites us to gather our minds into intimate engagement with ourselves. Words That Serve is an interactive workshop that provides all levels of writers with the opportunity to engage in the mindful practice of journaling.  Students will be invited to explore their personal narratives, notice the themes and stories that currently shape their lives, and identify hidden beliefs and ideas that block creativity, productivity, and their ability to serve and nourish others.  At the end of the workshop, students will come away with a variety of writing prompts to deepen and expand their self awareness.

Nicole Annette is a self-proclaimed Journal Junky® who understands the power of intentional journaling. Her passion is to inspire others to transform their lives through an intentional journaling practice. She has facilitated groups, college courses, workshops, and trainings on the subjects of literacy, personal development, self-awareness, life skills, and intentional journaling for the past 15 years. Nicole Annette is also the owner and maker behind the Journal Junky® brand: a line of earth-friendly stationery, workbooks, and guided journals. She enjoys meeting new people, hearing their stories, and connecting others. She holds a B.A. in psychology and a M.Ed. in adult learning and development.
