The process of transforming a yard into a garden – and a landscape that you love - is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a gardener. Understanding plants and their needs is key to creating a landscape that’s a joy, not a chore. In this two-part class, Lisa Wagner will help you better understand how to learn how to observe and evaluate what is pleasing (or not) to you and how to incorporate those observations in your gardening activities, including garden renovation. We’ll talk about how to incorporate a year-round perspective, as you choose and combine trees, shrubs, and perennials in ways that work over the seasons (and years) and create a landscape that welcomes you home.

*Instructions for joining via Zoom will be included in your confirmation email following registration. Please add adulteducation@ncarboretum.org to your contacts so our emails do not end up in your spam folder. A recording of the class will be made available to registered participants for a limited period following the session for review and to provide access to those with scheduling conflicts.
