The Feldenkrais Method® is based on using gentle, movement to increase ease and range of motion, improve flexibility and coordination, and reduce stress. Each class encourages participants to focus on movement that can be done by anyone at any level. Classes will encourage students to discover how to achieve a solid stance, a more erect spine and enhanced breathing for greater vitality. The class in March emphasizes ways to integrate Feldenkrais practices into the tasks of gardening.
Students are asked to bring a bath towel, a yoga or exercise mat, and wear comfortable clothing.
Jacqueline Wollins retired to Western North Carolina after several decades as a provider of physical therapy, the Feldenkrais Method and craniosacral therapy. In recent years she has taught at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville utilizing the Feldenkrais Method as well as functional meditation based upon the Silva Method.
